Agos Mall of Asia by Chef Tatung Sarthou

There is a new open entertainement area at the SM Mall of Asia and it houses not only entertainment but good restaurant as well.

The first thing that I notices the mouth watering Paella and I immediately  know that it’s the restaurant that I am looking for.

Agos in Filipino means to be carried away by the current. That's exactly what I felt when I ate their food. I went with the flow of excitement in eating this sumptous food.It brought out a lot of great memories. I remember sitting with my mom and eating great food. That' s the great vibe that I felt when I ate at AGOS. Its a place that you need to visit with your friends and especially family because you need to enjoy that moment together.

I had a great time talking to Chef Mike "Tatung" Sarthou. There was never a dull moment with him. He dished out interesting facts and trivia especially about spices. I learned something new about the Manila Galleon Trade influences that lasted for 250 years. Everything in the restaurant was well thought of from the caligraphy of the logo, to the interior of the restaurant and even the menu. You will definitely want to as Chef Tatung says Sumabay sa Agos and i believe him because it was good you will come back for more.

Watch the video and you see for yourself what Gastronomic Feast really is in Agos:

Agos is located at the ground floor of the north wing of the mall near Imax and facing Manila bay. The new restaurant also leads to the Manila-Acapulco Galleon trade museum that will open early next year making Agos a one of a kind dining destination in Manila.

Agos is open every day from 10am to 10pm and can be reached through landline 8891462 or mobile 09162393273.

Consistent quality pays for Mrs. Lam Rice

Ask any entrepreneur his secret to success, and he would tell you that it is more than just luck. For Victor and Evelyn Lam, the powerhouse couple behind the Mrs. Lam Rice brand, it was really the four Ps of perseverance, persistence, parental care, and prayers for God’s blessings that guided them throughout the years.

Fact is, the family of Victor Lam has been in the rice business for generations before his generation decided to venture into other careers. He learned much of what he knows about the business from his uncles. That’s why he was confident of going back into rice trading in 2000.

Restaurant Under 500 : 7 Flavors Buffet and A La Carte

I sometimes decline going on buffet restaurant for the reason Na lugi kasi ako pag buffet resto tapos di naman talaga ako malakas kumain and besides, mahal ang fee per head.
That’s what I think for most of the buffet restaurant na napuntahan ko na but then again, I can be wrong sometimes.

Last week, some friends decide to dine somewhere in San Juan, I heard the name of the restaurant a couple of times and was actually curios because Chef Logro is one of the owner.

7 flavors are located at 196 Mabini St., Additional Hills, and San Juan. It serves lunch and dinner buffet and the price is under 500.00 per head

How to commute going to 7 flavors
As for me, the best way is through Shaw Blvd., whether you are coming from Edsa or from Kalentong, you only need to reach Mandala Park and across is Mabini St

You can choose to walk or ride a tricycle , Lampas lang ng PUP San Juan and you near 7 flavors, konting lakad na lang

7 flavors is at the right side, I think 1 way sya so make sure to look on your right

Marriott Manila’s Mooncake – A Well-Preserved Tradition

Did you know that the second most important festival in China is the Mid-Autumn festival and one cannot celebrate without the traditional Chinese pastry called mooncakes.
And speaking of mooncakes, Marriot Manila is preserving this tradition

One with the festivity and in preserving traditions, Marriott Hotel Manila introduces their version of the moist Chinese delicacy. Meticulously handcrafted by brilliant chefs to spread love in every bite, the hotel’s mooncakes have tasteful patterns on the crust of the pastry skin, which envelops the dense and delish filling. The hotel, considering the discerning tastes of patrons, made three variants to choose from depending on their fancy; the Lotus paste made of Lotus seed are considered to be the most delicious and luxurious filling for mooncakes; the red bean paste is sweet and is the most commonly used filling for the traditional pastry; while the red date filling is made of ripe fruits of the jujube plant that makes a dark red paste with a fruity tang and a pinch of sourness. While the hotel’s mooncake is a marvel to the palate, it is an ideal gift with its elegant red box with intricate gold embellishments. Be it for a gift to your loved ones, a thank you token to corporate friends, or just for yourself indulgence, Marriott Manila’s mooncake gift set suits every purpose for only P1888 nett for every box of 6 and is available at the hotel’s Marriott Café bakery and Crema starting September 1 until September 15, 2016 only.

Hurom Slow Juicer Recipe

Lee Young-Ae is back. Filipinos might know her better as Dae Jang Geum, her character in “Jewel in the Palace”. It was a watershed moment for Philippine TV as the first Korean teleserye that captured the hearts of Filipinos everywhere, and thus started a trend that continues to this day. After the tremendous success of this series, Young Ae chose to step back from the limelight, but this year she is returning to a new drama, which has caused much excitement in the entertainment world and among her multitude of fans. Along with her acting comeback, she has become the ambassador of Hurom Slow Juicer. It could not have been a more perfect fit.
“I’ve used Hurom for long time and I feel better and healthier than before,” declares Young-Ae. “There are two ways to make a juice, blending and slow squeezing. To get more nutrition, I love to use Hurom’s slow-squeezing method. Because when you squeeze ingredients slowly, it maximizes nutrition.” With her new production currently underway, she’s definitely going to need it. Young-Ae is starring in Saimdang, the Herstory”, a historical drama that will flit back and forth between present and the past. She plays the titular character Saimdang, who was a poet and artist in the Joseon dynasty as well as another character, a modern-day historian who investigates the life of Saimdang. It is set to air in Korea in October 2016.

Where to eat in Palawan :Viet Ville Palawan

Why do we travel?

I want to travel because I want to discover new places and see what other have seen, that’s my answer.

From the places I visit there are stories behind it that you would not imagine that really happen and you will be amaze by it.

Just like the story of one of Viet Ville

When you think of Palawan, you would probably immediately think of the Underground River. Well true to the matter, that’s also the first thing that comes into my mind, but there is more to it than just the tourist spot in Palawan, particularly Puerto Princesa

It was our second day and we were planning to go to a nearby beach in Nagtabon. But first thing first, fill up our tummy. As we pass by Barangay Sta. Lourdes, Puerto Princesa, Palawan, we stop by at Viet Ville Restaurant. The area is more like a ghost town but you will be amaze with the history of the place not to mention the delicious food that the restaurant served.

My Korean Experience at Soban K-Town Grill

It was a year ago when my daughter introduced me to Korean food and from then on, it became a habit of ours to eat in a Korean restaurant whenever we are in Taft and after every show in CCP

I love eating their famous samgyupsal especially with their side dishes. It was actually a family bonding of sort because everyone has something to do like grilling, ordering for refill and for me, I just love to eat. (I leave the paying of bills to my other daughter)

And now there’s a new place we can bond that is much nearer to our place as Soban K-Town Grill.

Soban K-Town Grill is located at the 2F of Eastwood Mall and I was invited to get to experience redefined Korean dining

Eat, Paint and Jam at Troika

Yes, malapit na ang weekend and it means it’s time to look for a place where we can chill out and rest our mind and body for a while

For those who are near the area of UST, did you know that there’s a place that you could hang around, eat, paint and jam to relax your mind and tummy; I would like to present to you: Troika

Troika is located at 823 Extremadura St., Brgy 460 Sampaloc Manila (near Florida Bus).

Since the owner is a set of 3, they name their bar and restaurant, Troika.

The first thing that I notice was the diverse interior set,  the ceiling are expose which is a good thing ;  there’s a vintage wall which display a lot of old things while the bar has some recycled products that was used as design.

The food is worthy of its price and yummy. It was well presented because of its unique dish not to mention the out of this world placemat (Imagine using a plaka for placemat: genius) and not to mention their tissue holder (better see it for yourself)

I mention about the painting; right. They have different painting displayed inside the restaurant that you can purchase and if you feel like you have the artistic ability; you can even do your own painting. For a price ranging from 80.00 to 150.00 ‘you will be provided with your own canvass, a brush and some paint (remember, there is no right or wrong when it comes to expressing your inner thoughts)

There is also a band that holds jamming sessions and you can also play yourself, just borrow some guitar that are place in one spot and jam with your friends.  And you can choose do play with a board of chess

Generally, there are a lot of thing you can do in Troika

So, what are you waiting for; eat, jam and paint your weekend

Brinner Cafe: Breakfast Till Dinner Cafe

The first thing that you would be concern about when you set up a business is the profit.
Well I guess; I meet a different kind of businessmen because Brinner Café is the one business that thinks of its customer’s happiness before the big profit thing

Located at 1676 Piy Margal cor. M. Dela Fuente St., Manila, Sampaloc is a small, cute, inspiring café named Brinner Café.

They cater to the needs of the community and not just the students. They served breakfast for dinner menu which is basically a silog type of dish plus mouthwatering, belly filling waffles plus their customized cakes.

Take a Sip, Take a Bite at the Yellow Tree Coffee and Tea

Let’s just make it simple and thirst quenching as possible

There is a place located at Panay Ave that served coffee and tea plus their flavor of the month cakes:  the Yellow Tree Coffee and Tea.

The owner just love coffee and tea and wish for a place that they hang around and Yellow Tree Coffee and Tea was born.

They have a variety of coffee and tea which you will not get tired of ordering. As they say, di ka mauumay or magsasawa.

Experience Cebu : Where to eat in Manila the Cebu way

I just recently came from Cebu for the Sinulog 2016. During our stay at Cebu there’s this restaurant that serves good seafood dishes. The restaurant is called Choobi Choobi which was located at Parkmall in Mandaue City.

It was really nice since they made my dining experience memorable because of their good food and ambience at very affordable prices.

I would truly miss them but lucky for us Manilenos because Choobi Choobi opened a branch in Quezon City.

Choobi Choobi Manila branch is located at 102 Panay Ave., Quezon City. It is strategically located in a place where it is accessible by public transportation and yet secluded enough that you would enjoy a more private venue.
