Our aunt would just spread banana leaves on a long table
and spread the rice and viands along with it, there would also be some fruits
and dips as well. It was truly a sight to behold since we enjoyed it a lot.
Now that I now live in Pasig, this memory was brought back
once again by The Food Tent Ph.
The Food Tent Ph is located at the parking area of Robins
Design Center along Meralco Ave. The Food Tent Ph opens at 4 pm till 10 pm , Thursday
till Sunday and hopefully they would open on Wednesday as well.
What can The Food Tent Ph could offer?
Food
There are variety of food that you can choose from; like grilled dishes from Dada's Grill, Crispy food from Yeggs Food Station, milktea and other refreshing beverages.
But what really sets The Food Tent Ph apart from other food
park is their Boodle Fighter concessioner
What if Boodle Fight?
A boodle fight is a meal that dispenses with cutlery and dishes.
Diners instead practice kamayan,
Filipino’s way of eating with hand. The dood is placed on top of a long
banana leaf lined trestle table. For as low as 259, a couple could enjoyed this
sumptuous dinner. If you have friends with you, you can also order a bigger
feast plus put on some food as well from other stalls
The Food Tent Ph is accessible if you are coming from Ortigas
or Crossing since public vehicle pass easily to this area.
Via Jeep
If you are coming from Edsa Crossing, ride a jeep with a
signboard “ Antipolo, Binangonan” or any jeep that will pass along Meralco Ave
and stop in front of St. Paul road (
that is after the DECS front gate), The Food Tent Ph is just across the street.
If you are coming from Ortigas area and just near Ayala the 30th, The Food Tent Ph is walkable but if you are coming
from The Marco Polo Manila Hotel and not use to walking, I advise you to ride a
jeep going to Edsa Crossing, you can easily stop in front of the Robins Design
Center where The Food Tent Ph is located.
