Experience Cebu : Where to eat in Manila the Cebu way

I just recently came from Cebu for the Sinulog 2016. During our stay at Cebu there’s this restaurant that serves good seafood dishes. The restaurant is called Choobi Choobi which was located at Parkmall in Mandaue City.

It was really nice since they made my dining experience memorable because of their good food and ambience at very affordable prices.

I would truly miss them but lucky for us Manilenos because Choobi Choobi opened a branch in Quezon City.

Choobi Choobi Manila branch is located at 102 Panay Ave., Quezon City. It is strategically located in a place where it is accessible by public transportation and yet secluded enough that you would enjoy a more private venue.



Choobi Choobi’s best seller includes Shimps in a Bag, Chilean Mussels in A Bag, Choobi Crispy Pata, Grilled Stuffed Squid which I am happy to tell has the same standard of cooking and preparation just like the one in Cebu

Stuffed Grilled Squid 250.00 php. Stuffed with black rice inside, a version of paella negra. 

Choobi Pata 445.00 php (medium), it’s tender, moist and juicy. This is Choobi;s version of litson, since they can’t have one in the restaurant. 

Stan's Fried Black Pepper Shrimp 440.00 php.  Deep fried and coated with sweet spicy salted egg. It’s crunchy and you can even eat everything. Savour  the taste by first tasting the outside before taking a bite.

Chilean Mussels in a Bag cost 325.00 php. This dish is spicy and tasty and would be best partner with 2 cups of hot rice. Its base is made of gata, combine with leaks and sili and some corn. It would definite keep you coming back for more.

Sabaw na Halaan 210.00php. Spicy , tasty and and healthy 

Shrimp in a Bag / Salted Egg Shrimp cost 440.00 php. Here is my number 1 pick, try putting the sauce first in your rice before you take a bite at the shrimp for that all in one delicious feeling of satisfaction. Get to taste the butter garlic, spicy gata and salted in go.

Cha Tao Miao 180.00 php. It was my first time tasting this and it won’t be the last. Good , crunchy , tasty and it was satisfying

For those who wants to try herbs and healthy drinks, I do recommend that you order

Fresh Pineapple Organic with Kale 130php

Mango Basil Shake 130php

The total bill was less than 3,000.00 including the rice and it served up to 10 people.

1. There is ample parking at the front of the restaurant and it is accessible for commuters as well
2. The seafood comes directly from Cebu and you are sure that they are fresh. Shipment happens 2 to 3 time a week
3. The cooks are trained in Cebu that is why , you are assured that they have the same standard as the main branch.
4. The staff and crew are there to assist you , don’t be afraid to ask for their suggestions.
5. The restaurant is a better version of DAMPA since they have variety of seafood dishes
6. The venue has ample space for gatherings
7. The prizes are reasonable if you are looking for great taste and satisfaction.
